Paradox Clock - Max For Live Timing System

Paradox is a clocking system which can replace tempo in Ableton Live or run in paralell, independant of Live's tempo. Other devices which I upload here are integrated with this system. To get started, the package includes the MIDI device, Slicer.

• Paradox Features:
  • Repeat Ableton's tempo or switch to Paradox mode to fluctuate BPM over time.
  • Specify and minimum and maximum BPM range to fluctuate between.
  • Drive tempo over time via the step sequencer by dialing in a BPM value for each step. Customise the speed of the step sequencer and its loop points.
  • Switch to LFO mode to instead drive the tempo via an LFO. Select from Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square, Random, or a custom drawn waveform.
  • Use the waveform drawing tool on the right to create custom LFOs oscillators.
  • Send Paradox tempo to Ableton Live itself for some very interesting and crazy behaviour (WARNING: this will wipe out your undo button buffer!!)
  • Drop up to 10 Paradox devices anywhere in Live's tracks and set each one to its own channel.
• Slicer Features:
  • Fully MPE enabled.
  • Takes incoming MIDI notes and chops them into smaller notes at interval specified with the sync dial.
  • Switch between Live's tempo, Paradox tempo, or an internal tempo to the device.
  • MIDI notes stretch and squeeze in length according to the current BPM value of Paradox.
  • 32 channels of polyphony.
